Four faces of sport at the Buenaventura Sports Club

The Sports Club does not stop. Between tournaments, camps and classes, the facilities are in constant use by its members and residents. With the summer season approaching, we wanted to talk to some of the teachers responsible for activities for children and adults.

Ximena, Yoga Teacher

Our teacher arrived in Panama more than a decade ago and seven years ago she became a certified Teacher.

In Buenaventura she offers Hatha Yoga practices, every Monday at 4 pm and Thursday at 8:30 am, where she works a lot on permanence and breathing, linking postures through breathing.

Club members can attend their practices for free.

Rossi, Tennis Teacher.

She is part of the Panamanian national team and a medalist at the 2017 Central American Games. In addition to training adults, she works with children from 4 years old to 15. If there is something she enjoys, it is helping to train the future promises of Panamanian tennis.

She is also certified as a paddle tennis instructor.

Susi, children’s swimming coach

The swimming school started almost four years ago. Today they already have different levels, from children who barely know how to float to competition level. As she says “it’s nice to see how the children have progressed and are already competing.”

Classes are twice a week. Generally, swimming is part of the camps that the club offers on important dates and especially on vacations.

Fermín Broce, Volleyball teacher

This biochemistry teacher is passionate about sports and tries to promote sports practice among children and young people. In addition to promoting volleyball awareness, he has also worked as a basketball teacher with students from schools in the area.
