Víctor Concepción Peren, General Manager of the Hotel, shared his vision with us of these ‘new times’, how the hotel has become the point of connection within the community and the immediate plans to modernize.

“We have invested more than a million dollars in the renovation of the rooms, that shows the trust that we have in the industry, and even though it has been affected, we still strongly believe that it will get up soon, but it still requires that little push.”

That is the opinion of Víctor who, with more than 20 years in the hotel industry, has been leading the hotel for four years, always seeking to “generate the warmth and charm that characterizes Buenaventura.”

In addition to the rooms bringing a fresher, more modern concept to the entire experience, improvements and additions have also been made to restaurants and public areas.

“Soon we will begin to renovate El Faro, which is the beach club, increasing the seating capacity. We will make some interesting changes such as the creation of some cabins and a space dedicated to children. At the same time, we hope to begin the expansion of the Corotú SPA, with more cabins for body treatments and a larger gym. All this to provide our residents and guests with the best experience as only Buenaventura knows how to do. Our community is growing and we must grow with it, which brings with it that interest in creating new spaces with different environments where they can enjoy the beach, terraces, cabins, the sensory park or simply natural spaces such as Corotú”

The general manager does not hesitate to highlight the human team and give thanks to their efforts for having achieved one of the great objectives proposed: which is to turn the Hotel Buenaventura into the meeting point. “At the hotel, the community shares and enjoys special moments with different types of activities organized to generate comprehensive well-being for children, youth and adults,” he said.

And one of the most important aspects in his vision is to have a wide and varied gastronomic offer. “We are constantly innovating our gastronomic offer to always provide the best to our community. The resident has an exquisite palate and we not only have to be up to the task in terms of variety, but also in terms of quality. The team is always developing new concepts to vary the different menus”.

Víctor and the team are behind El Faro, Mansa, Puntarena Beach Club, Palapa, Tagua, Criollo and Tai Kai, among others, and now they are preparing for the launch of a new concept: La Contenta Market in the Puntarena area.

“The concept is totally innovative and integrates soft drinks, a taqueria and a market where you will be able to find fruits and vegetables from the area as well as other artisanal products such as sauces, jams and create a showcase for entrepreneurs,” he said.

“The sky is the limit”

One of the most important aspects for Victor is being able to serve the community. Not only at the level of service in hotels or restaurants, but in their own residences.

“We are a creative team willing to support the community by providing various catering, bartending and even decoration services for residents’ activities from quinceaños, bachelor parties, weddings and celebrations in general. The sky is the limit for the creativity in the organization of private events for our residents. We always seek to please our community and be part of those special moments.”

While we talk, he tells us about events they have organized for residents and the good feedback they have received. It’s part of Victor’s passion for service and how his team’s creativity allows him to uphold the Buenaventura standard and keep its residents happy.
