“Your safety is our responsibility.” The slogan clearly expresses the purpose of the PH administration: to take care of each person within Buenaventura.
At times with imperceptible actions such as the permanent presence of the ambulance that to date has treated more than 350 people and referred 15 patients to the nearest medical centers.
“We try to have a comprehensive vision of the sensitive issues that affect the community. Security not only has to do with staff training, but with an entire information and prevention strategy where the community is an active part”, said Alejandro Rivera, Manager of the PH Buenaventura.
Since last year, the office has implemented a campaign regarding road safety awareness, especially with regard to the speed of movement within the complex and the use of the ‘mules’.
“This is a critical issue due to the number of people who live in Buenaventura during the high season. We have to continue reinforcing the issue of the maximum speed, which is 40 km/h, on the main street and 30 km/h on secondary streets, and that minors CANNOT drive any type of vehicle. Respect is a basic value for coexistence”.
Another important point highlighted by the Administrator is regarding garbage on the beach, appealing to two important points: safety and recycling. “Everyone must be responsible for their waste. It is extremely dangerous, for example, to leave glass bottles or cans that can later generate some type of accident such as deep cuts. And on the other hand, order allows us to continue implementing our recycling campaign together with the Felipe Motta Foundation”.
