Ambra Albertazzi joined our team as coordinator of social networks and community events, to portray the Buenaventura lifestyle and be the daily contact with the community. Along with her, several residents are organizing different activities.
“It was not easy to leave everything and move further away from my family, however, it has been a memorable experience that has greatly exceeded my expectations. Initially, I did not know anything about Panama, I only knew about Panama through the Canal. I did not expect such a beautiful country, they have so much to see and offer. I adapted very quickly and the people are very friendly”, said Ambra.
Today she lives in Buenaventura giving support to the golf and Sports Club social media team. And for a few weeks, she has also been in contact with the community to develop ideas and events that can connect residents.
As she herself points out “I am trying to create a community with common interests. I remember that in Spain I knew all my neighbors and I was looking to connect with people to organize events, go to the beach together, enjoy, try to make more community”, she added.
And this mission has already proven to be productive. Recently they organized an open reading club with a resident so that all those who have an interest in literature can share a pleasant moment.
They also launched an open invitation to walk together through Buenaventura every Thursday at 7:30 in the morning. The idea is to socialize and get to know each other to strengthen the bond as a community.
And as she says. “Buenaventura is a paradise. My life has changed a lot, unlike in Europe, here you can find fresh, organic food, I love that. I had seen photos to get an idea but it is not the same; Buenaventura has it all. I get up early and go to the Sports Club when I finish I go home to work. I usually go around Buenaventura in search of videos and photos to generate content. One of my favorite moments in the afternoon is going to the beach and watching the sunset. I love the beach, it’s very big, every day it’s like a new beach because it changes. It offers me a different experience every time I go. I also like to play golf and having it next to my home is the best”.
