Summer camps have become an icon in Buenaventura. Children and adolescents enjoy various activities for several days creating friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.

Children between 2 and 14 years old enjoy fun activities during camp days. “Thanks to the kindness of Buenaventura and our tireless team of guides, we have generated seasons full of all kinds of activities, including sports such as flag, water polo, soccer, and volleyball; of contact with nature such as kayaks, rope park and visits to the zoo; and our famous games including Treasure Hunt, Death Ray, Olympics and many more”.
BVA: How has the experience of organizing the camps in Buenaventura been?
MR:“Buenaventura is a unique space full of possibilities, which is consolidated as a place for authentic family gatherings. It provides us with an ideal infrastructure, surrounded by rich natural spaces, where a robust community grows that opens its doors to us and fills us with satisfaction every season. A community that makes us feel part of it, in which we have seen the campers who accompany us grow year after year”.
BVA: In addition to the summer one, are you thinking of organizing others?
MR: At La Escondida, the fun goes beyond summer. This is already a reality thanks to our winter season during the mid-year vacations, but we are ready to offer more moments of magic and entertainment hand in hand with the Buenaventura community.
BVA: What can we expect from the next camps?
MR: Our purpose will always be to offer our campers moments full of fun and joy based on the mystique of La Escondida, which involves promoting respect, responsibility, tolerance, and perseverance in our family.
It is part of our essence to direct children’s gaze towards nature and their environment, an increasingly common challenge for parents, whom we support by generating a balance against the technological reality of our days.
At La Escondida our campers will always be able to enjoy their favorite activities again; but our camp is also innovation, we will not stop bringing new games and activities every season, because there is no magic without surprises!
